Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, calls for strengthening the Authorities of the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, in particularly its Economic Independence
Asked by the journalists after the Advisory Board on the Local Self-Government held in Livadia Palace (Yalta), V.Lytvyn stated that "the Crimea should obtain wider authorities and economic independence, the authorities of the Crimean Government being strengthened."
The Head of the Parliament supposes that strengthening of the economic independence of the Crimea will not provoke secession movements.
